El Hamdi Zakia

El Hamdi Zakia born in Morocco, she's one of the fewest Moroccan female directors of photography. Her childhood fascination with the worlds of photography and videography is what influenced her to study art and the different fields of filmmaking. After getting her bachelor's degree, she headed to France for her master's degree in cinematographic studies, and a higher diploma in plastic expression at Grenoble School of Art and Design. To cope with the world of creation she equipped herself with the knowledge she gained from her years of studying and practicing generally and from her experiences on the set mainly, from photography, painting, cinematography, to installation she considers herself as a craftswoman who uses light as an instrument.
